...In all circumstances...

By Leah Jaggers

...In all circumstances...
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
This has been a challenging season for me and my family.  An assortment of difficult situations have been coming from all sides.  Decisions to be made, difficult diagnoses to receive at the doctor’s office, people we love being hurt, car problems, etc... It feels like we can’t handle one more thing.  I wonder how God can use all of this.  I pray that I am making the right decisions to honor Him.
This verse above keeps coming back to me. Isn't it difficult to give thanks in unpleasant circumstances? It's not my inclination to go around being thankful when my car breaks down, when someone I love is sick, or when things don't go my way. But that is my earthly perspective. Maybe, without my knowledge the “mess that is my life” is witnessing to someone and pointing them to Jesus.
I say “Jesus, I just want to be like You”. And then I remember that He suffered.
These circumstances are accomplishing something for His glory far bigger than my human mind can imagine.  There’s a bigger story here for my good and for His glory.  I can’t tell you in specific terms what the bigger story is.  But I can assure you there is one.
I know God can use whatever the enemy throws at us for good.  Just as Joseph told his brothers in Genesis, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” Genesis 50:20
I hope this brings you some comfort in your own trials (I know we all have them). Keep trusting, keep showing up and reaching out, keep praying, keep reading the Word, and keep giving Him the praise.
We’re in this together.

...that I may have a harvest among you...

By Malachi Jaggers

...that I may have a harvest among you...

Happy Friday Friends!

Yesterday evening during my Thursday night broadcast, I talked about Romans 1:8-13.  Here is the passage...

Paul’s Longing to Visit Rome
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you 10 in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you.
11 I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— 12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. 13 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now)in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.

I spoke about how the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few.  My challenge to all of us was to become soul winners for the Kingdom of Heaven and to work together despite differences.

The Lord Jesus is coming back soon!

Tell the world!!  #HOPEISHERE

Defeating the Enemy

By Malachi Jaggers

Defeating the Enemy

Happy Saturday Friends!

I hope you're having a great weekend!  Every week flies by so fast.  The days are a vapor.  Before you know it they have come and gone.  Soon summer will turn into fall and fall into winter.  It is my personal goal to make each day count.   How about you?

Are you walking through a difficult season in your life right now?  Perhaps your workplace is making it hard for you to thrive and have a positive attitude. Or it could be you are having difficulty in your marriage.  Jesus can restore and renew.  Are you suffering from doubt, fear, confusion, anxiety, worry, or depression?  Jesus can break those chains.  Are you grieving the loss of a loved one?  Jesus can bring comfort to your hurting heart.  Maybe you received a diagnosis from your doctor and you are giving up hope.  Jesus offers healing and hope.  Some of us struggle with guilt and can't forgive ourselves.  And many of us find ourselves deep in sin and cannot fathom that we could ever be forgiven.  Jesus offers grace, mercy, and forgiveness through His shed blood on the cross.  Whatever you may be facing, I want to encourage you today to keep pressing in to Jesus.  He never leaves us or forsakes us.  He is walking with you through the circumstances and trials of this life.  He is walking with you in the victories and triumphs, too.  Don't give up!  Jesus loves you!  You can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives you strength. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus!

Every Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. on Facebook, there is a community of folks who tune in for prayer, praise, and encouragement.  We worship and we pray and encourage one another.  It is refreshing and uplifting.  If you are needing a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit or you're needing prayer please join us on Thursdays.  I am also posting Thursday nights here on my blog just in case you cannot make it on Thursdays.  If you do have a prayer request you can still post it here to my blog or on Facebook and we will pray for you.  There is power in prayer.  It works!  Praising Jesus and prayer defeat the enemy!!

Let's pray...

Father in Heaven, I pray for each unspoken need.  There are so many who are feeling the weight and burdens of this life coming down on them.  I call out to You on their behalf.  I pray that You would bring healing, strength, comfort, peace, and relief to each situation.  Thank You that we can do all things through You who gives us strength.  In You there is hope and there is life. I praise You because You are worthy of all the praise and the glory!  I thank You that You hear the prayers of Your people.  I cry out to You Lord.  I trust in You Lord.  I ask all this in Jesus name! - Amen
