Thursday Night Worship

Thursday Night Worship

I am really enjoying worshiping with you on Facebook live!  It is a joy to be able to pray for you and to bring encouragement to you and your family since I began on February 9th.  Our time together means so much to me.  I was asked if I was planning on doing this on a regular basis and the answer is, yes.  I don't know some of the folks that tune in for the broadcast where they live or where they are at with their faith or even if they know Jesus.  All I know now is that this ministry is too important NOT to do on a weekly basis. The people that tune in seem to respond well to it.  My hope is that even though we are not in the same room together we would be able to sing praises to magnify His holy name. As a result, I pray people find Jesus and I pray that they grow in their faith.

I was ask if I take request for songs I did not write.  Unfortunately, because of copyright laws, that can be a sticky situation.  I am thankful that I will be able to share my songs, pray with you, and encourage you.  I feel a calling to do this for you.  Bringing this live broadcast into your living room is something for me to look forward to!

In the future, I plan on having special guest join me.  Can you help spread the word?  Please share my Facebook page with all of your friends.

The address is:  www.facebook.com/malachijaggers

Stay tuned this week as I go live this Thursday at 9:00 p.m.  I hope you can make it!

Are You Concealing and Carrying?

By Malachi Jaggers

Are You Concealing and Carrying?

God has done great things in my life.  I give Him praise for what He has done.  Without the events that have happened in my past I wouldn't be the person I am today.  He has brought me through some difficult circumstances.  With the trials I have faced,  I have since realized that I can't conceal and carry hurt and bury it deep inside my heart.  It is unhealthy!  In the past, that is exactly how I would deal with my pain.  Nobody ever knew how much of my past I was holding inside because on the outside I was putting on a good front and looked completely normal.  Actually, I became numb and my mind even erased some of the events that took place.

Whether it is friends or family, we have all been hurt by other people or circumstances, right?  Looking back to generations before me, I noticed that when people held their hurt inside it caused even more struggle for them.  Sometimes it came out in addictions and unhealthy behaviors that continued to be passed down from generation to generation and was kept brushed underneath the rug.  Without even being cognizant of it,  mindsets became narrow, fears and anxiety become more prevalent, dreamers stop dreaming and people succumb to a "this is all there is" lifestyle.  The good news is that there is more!  God created us to thrive for Him!

Are you concealing and carrying something inside of you that needs to be dealt with?

You might be asking how can I break these chains and be set free?

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36

I challenge you to take the first steps to freedom by asking God for help by praying to Him, acknowledging the problem, surrounding your self with mature Christians in a bible believing church, seeking Godly and wise counsel, and placing yourself deep into His word.

A long time ago, I made a declaration that I would not sweep hurt underneath the rug. Instead I would be honest with myself and others.

"And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:15

You do not have to carry these burdens alone.  There are people that are willing to listen.  Most importantly, Jesus is listening.  Don't conceal and carry!  Jesus said in Matthew 11:30 (ESV), "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  We become much lighter when we hand over our deepest hardships to the One who is able to lighten the load and get real with God.  I encourage you to let Jesus pull the load for you.
